“Having the new waterfall and rock area adds a whole new dimension to our field trips. Yesterday a school from Colleton County came in for their field trip and were completely surprised to find a waterfall in downtown Charleston. They were even more thrilled when they found out they could take home the fools gold they excavated during their visit.
The Children’s Museum is proud to provide a rich educational experience for all our visitors. What Jody Smith and his team did for us is a priceless addition to our garden that we get to share with children and families each and every day.”

"Our new Garden is a huge hit! The Children’s Museum cannot thank Jody, Shannon, Ed, Thom and their teams enough for this wonderful gift to the community and young children we serve. We are so fortunate to be the recipients of their time, talents, hard work and dedication and are so lucky that they chose CML for their project. Besides adding a new space for our young visitors to explore, they have included several educational elements that will allow us to serve a larger audience of students as well.
Their vision has laid the groundwork for more additions and expansions to our entire outdoor play space. Believe me when I say, we could not have taken the first critical steps without their kindness and generosity! In addition to their time, materials and work they helped recruit students from around the country to come work on this amazing project as well as several partners from our local community who all pitched in to make our new Garden Expansion a reality.
